Hallo Forum,
da ich gerne Distros teste, habe ich festgestellt, dass ich nur Zorin, Mint, und Fedora Xfce testen kann.
Es ist mir jetzt wichtig zu wissen, ob es an der Grafikkarte liegt, oder etwas anderes.

Hallo linuxpycharmuser,
Sie verwenden eine HighEnd Gaminggrafikkarte, diese funktioniert aber nur mit passenden aktuellen Linuxsystemen. Ich vermute mit den neunen Ubuntuversionen 19.10 und 20.04 wird es funktionieren. Die 18.04 kam ja über ein Jahr vor ihrer Grafikkarte raus und kann diese nicht kennen.

besten Dank für die Auskunft.
Das interessante ist, bei Linux Mint 19.3 funktioniert die Installation nicht, aber bei der alten Version Mint 19.2 funktioniert es, aber nur bei Cinammon.
Bei Fedora funktioniert es aber nur unter XFCE.
Sind da solche unterschiede ?
Ich möchte es ja nur verstehen an was es liegt, da ich gerne neue Distros teste…

bei der Beschreibung jeder Distribution steht beispielsweise der verwendete Kernel, der grafische Server, der Desktop etc. das sind die Unterscheide.
Da Sie gerne testen, habe ich vermutet, das Sie auch viel Erfahrung haben und bin deshalb auf die Standardlösung beim Installieren nicht eingegangen:
Ich vermute Sie testen nur ob das System für die Installation läuft, das unterscheidet sich aber vom installiertem System. Ihre Grafikkarte wird Problem mit dem universellen VESA Treiber haben,d er meist verwendet wird.
Sie können beim Start der Livesysteme die Bootparameter verändern, das hinzufügen eines der Parameter nomodeset oder xforcevesa helfen dann meist. Dies kann auch nach der Installation im System nötig sein, bis Sie den passenden Treiber für die Grafikkarte installiert haben.

Hallo Herr Kleemann,
ich teste schon gerne die Distros, nur auf dem jetzigen Rechner, hat sich so gut wie nichts installieren lassen.
Ich kam nicht einmal zum Bootmenue im Livesystem, geschweige zur installation.
Bios wurde gestern auf die aktuelle Version upgedatet..habe dann ENDAVOURS OS getestet, und siehe da, diese Distro funktioniert..ob es an dem Update lag, dass weiss ich nicht..Oberfläche ist Cinnamon.
Unter MintLinux hat nur die Vers. 19.2 funktioniert, trotz 4.15 Kernel. 19.3 trotz 5.3 Kernel hat nichts funktioniert. Und nur unter Cinnamon.
Bei Fedora hat es nur unter XFCE funktioniert.
Jetzt werde ich erst einmal bei ENDAVOURS OS bleiben, um diese etwas kennen zu lernen..bis jetzt habe ich „für mich“ nichts negatives gefunden…um ein wenig Arch kennen zu lernen.
