Frage an das Upgrade-Expertenteam:
Fataler Update Error von Windows 8.1 auf Windows 10 führte zum Totalabsturz –
da OS Windows 8.0 bei Kauf zwar installiert, aber DVD not included war, liegt nach Online Upgrade auf Windows 8.1 auch davon keine DVD vor. Nach weiterem Online Upgrade auf Windows 10 kann das Notebook nicht mehr gebootet werden, zwar läuft das BIOS einwandfrei, es kann allerdings auch nicht mit vorliegender Windows 7 DVD gebootet und von dort durch Reparatur das bis zum Schluss neu installierte Windows 10 repariert werden.
Gibt es noch irgendwelche Möglichkeiten die fehlgeschlagene Windows 10 Installation zu reparieren oder wenigstens das bisherige Betriebssystem Windows 8.1 mit seinen installierten Programmen wieder lauffähig zurückzuerhalten?
Für mich ist das besonders wichtig, da dort auch ungesicherte 3D Videoaufnahmen der letzten 5 Jahre in Programmen gespeichert waren, die durch Verlust einer externen 2TB größtenteils zwar verloren sind, auf dem Notebook aber noch die Vorschau Bilder & Daten gespeichert sind – tabula rasa mit Neuinstallation fällt deshalb aus. Dell wäre zwar bereit eine Windows 8.0 DVD für Euro 25,- zuzusenden,
kann damit aber Windows 10 repariert oder notfalls das bisherige Windows 8.1 wieder rekonstruiert werden?

durch Booten des Notebooks vom Installationsmedium, Starten der „Computerreparaturoptionen“ und Durchführung der Startreparatur konnte ich den defekten Bootsektor bzw. die defekten Startdateien erfolgreich reparieren und den Computer mit den installierten Programmen wieder normal startfähig machen ohne Backup oder Neuinstallation 🙂

laden Sie sich doch die ISO-Datei für eine Windows 10-DVD bzw. -USB-Stick unter https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/software-download/windows10ISO kostenlos herunter.
Booten Sie den PC vom Installationsmedium, starten Sie die „Computerreparaturoptionen“ und führen Sie die Startreparatur durch. Das sollte den defekten Bootsektor bzw. die defekten Startdateien in den meisten Fällen instand setzen und den Computer wieder startfähig machen.
Falls das BIOS nicht automatisch von DVD/USB-Stick startet, versuchen Sie, nach dem Einschalten die Taste F12 (mehrfach) zu drücken. Das blendet bei den meisten Computern eine Liste mit den verfügbaren Startlaufwerken ein. Ansonsten hilft nur das Ändern der Startreihenfolge im BIOS, sodass das CD-/DVD-Laufwerk oder USB an erster Stelle steht.
Der von Ihnen beschriebene Fehler ist auch schon unter Windows 8 aufgetreten. Falls die Startreparatur von Windows 10 nicht greift, ist das einen Versuch wert.

Vielen Dank Herr Koch,
Ihre Empfehlung mit Aussicht auf Erhalt der Programme erscheint erfolgversprechender lauffähige Programme zu erhalten als Windows 7 neu zu installieren, inkl. aller Updates dazu, um danach wieder zu versuchen das Upgrade zu W10 zu installieren.
Dazu erhielt ich diese Datensicherungsempfehlung von Dell:
Link der Software Knoppix Live Boot CD (Linux), die ich persönlich ausprobiert habe: https://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/knoppix/KNOPPIX_V7.2.0CD-2013-06-16-DE.iso
Klicken Sie auf den blauen Link und laden Sie die ISO-Datei herunter. Nachdem Sie die Datei heruntergeladen haben, brennen Sie die ISO-Datei mit einer Brennsoftware (z.B. CD Burner XP, Nero Burning Rom) auf eine leere CD/DVD.
Die neu gebrannte CD legen Sie bitte in das Laufwerk des defekten Computers ein und bei dem Dell-Logo drücken Sie mehrmals die Taste F12, mit welcher Sie ins Boot Device Menü reinkommen, da wählen Sie CD/DVD Rom oder Onboard USB CD ROM aus und bestätigen Sie Ihre Auswahl mit der Enter Taste.
Die Knoppix-Software sollte automatisch von der CD booten, dann ungefähr 2 Minuten abwarten, bis Sie zu einem ähnlichen Bild kommen, wie die Oberfläche im Windows XP.
Hallo Herr Kimme,
die von Ihnen genannte Knoppix-CD/-DVD eignet sich vielleicht dazu, Daten von der Festplatte zu sichern. Eine Reparatur des beschädigten Windows 10 können Sie damit aber nicht vornehmen. Insofern empfehle ich Ihnen, zuerst einmal nach meiner Beschreibung die Systemstartreparatur durchzuführen. Wenn die fehlschlägt und das System sich nicht wiederbeleben lässt, können Sie mit der Knoppix-CD eine Datensicherung durchführen und dann eine Neuinstallation durchführen.
