Seit der Umstellung auf ubuntulinux 18.04 LTS findet das Notebook die Externe Festplatte nicht mehr Es handelt sich um eine Cnmemory 3,5″ mit 3TB. Was kann ich tun? MfG.

Linux kommt mit allen externen Festplatten zurecht, das ist ein Standard. Auch die gebräuchlichen Dateisystem beherrscht Linux.
Was genau ist denn das Problem? Wird die externe festplatte nicht im Dateimanager angezeigt, wenn Sie diese verbinden?
Falls es sich um eine USB 3 Platte an einem USB 3 Port handelt, stecken Sie diese einmal an einen USB 2 Port. Je nach Ausführung benötigt der USB 3 Chip zusätzliche Treiber und die sind noch nicht installiert.
Eine weitere Möglichkeit wäre, das die Festplatte nicht genug Strom bekommt. Ist sie mit einem externen Netzteil verbunden? Hören Sei ein Anlaufgeräusch, wenn Sie die Festplatte mit dem Rechner verbinden?
Oft ist auch das Problem, das die platte beim letzten Einsatz unter Windows nicht sauber getrennt(auswerfen) wurde. Dann mountet Linux diese nicht automatisch. In dem Fall sollten Sie sie einmal an einem Windowsrechner anschließen und dann Auswerfen.

Hallo, Herr Kleemann,
die Festplatte wird im Dateimanagert nicht angezeigt.
Es ist eine USB 3.0 und sie hat ein eigenes Netzteil zur Stromversorgung.
Nach dem Einschalten leuchten 3 Kotrolllämpchen auf, und ein deutliches Anlaufgeräusch ist zu hören.
Ich habe sie an den Windows-Rechner meiner Frau angeschlossen und
dann wieder korrekt auswerfen lassen, leider auch erfolglos.MfG

ob die Festplatte USB 3 ist oder 2 ist eigentlich egal, wichtig ist, steht sie am Rechner in einem USB 3 Port? Da diese Ports noch nicht alle automatisch unter Linux funktionieren.
Testen lässt sich der Port auch mit einer Maus oder Tastatur, funktioniert diese ist der Port vermutlich ok.

Hallo, Herr Kleemann,
mein Notebook hat 5 USP-Ports, von denen einer mit einer
blauen Markierung versehen ist. Ich nehme an, dass dies der
USP3 Port ist. An diesen ist die Festplatte angeschlossen.
Ihrem Vorschlag folgend habe ich die Maus auch an den blau markierten Port angeschlossen, sie funktioniert. Sollte am Ende die Festplatte selbst defekt sein?
Das wäre sehr schade. MfG

es kann sein, dass die Platte (versehentlich) im Format exFAT formatiert wurde. Dieses Dateisystem benötigt unter Linux eine extra Installation des Treibers, weil dabei den Lizenzbedingungen zugestimmt werden muss.

Hallo noha,
danke für deinen Hinweeis. Ich habe ihn genau befolgt und auch das anschließende
procedere bei ubuntuusers durchlaufen, wobei ich einige Anweisungen nicht verstanden habe. Es gab auch kein Ergebnis.Vielleicht ist die Festplatte wirklich beschädigt.

wurden die exFAT-Treiber einwandfrei installiert oder gab es Fehlermeldungen?
Der nächste Schritt wäre mal die Partitionierung der Platte anzuzeigen. Rufen Sie mal das Programm
gparted
auf und schauen nach, ob die Platte angezeigt wird und welche Eigenschaften sie hat.
